Simtek EMS – Thinking Bigger

6th November, 2007

In a series of bold moves that are set to enhance their position within the CEM market, Simtek EMS has recently moved premises, increased their workforce and made fundamental investment in new equipment.

In order to house an additional surface mount assembly line (that has quadrupled the available capacity) along with 15 new employees, the company has relocated to a purpose built 18,000 sq. ft. facility in Margate.

The move has been necessary due to the company gaining significant new contracts and equates to a trebling of the space compared to the previous site. New employees have been taken on with specific skills in RF assembly and Test as well as Quality Control and Customer Service.

The extra space and facilities has enabled the company to take on physically larger electro-mechanical assembly tasks coupled with the necessary enhancement in handling and logistics capabilities.

For their third year running, Simtek EMS will be exhibiting at the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Exhibition 2008. The company has been offering a range of electronics manufacturing services for over three years, following a Management Buyout (MBO) by the current owners Richard Samuel and Lee Boulton in April 2004.

Today Simtek manufacture electronic products destined for a variety of applications including Instrumentation, Automotive, Marine, Defence, Aerospace, Audio, Commerce and Leisure, as well as the production of battery power packs for a variety of industries and market sectors.

Combining excellent customer service, engineering expertise and the manufacture of relatively complex products to the ISO9001 :2000 quality standard, Simtek are able to offer value-added products on a short lead-time.
